The Mediterranean Wildlife Centre, located on the Son Pons estate, in the municipality of Campanet in Mallorca and adjacent to the municipalities of Sa Pobla and Buger, houses the headquarters of the Mediterranean Wildlife Foundation (MWF) and the Black Vulture Conservation Foundation (BVCF).

The Son Pons property, owned by the International Bird Conservation Foundation, and covering 20 Ha, comprises several well defined areas, as follows:

• A Holms oak wood which covers the majority of its surface and contains typical Mallorcan plant species, making it a good example of Mediterranean woods.

• An agricultural area with carob beans, almonds, wild olive trees and cultivated fields.

• A small watercourse, which runs in the direction of the San Miquel Torrent and where waterfowl, herons, aquatic insects, coots, etc. can be observed sporadically.

• A services area housing the offices of the BVCF and the MWF, a conference and projection room, a permanent exhibition room, a laboratory and kitchen.

In addition, the Centre is equipped with the facilities for the maintenance and observation of Black Vultures which are subsequently released in international species reintroduction projects or which form part of the breeding in captivity or environmental education programmes.
